The Scottish Society for Rheumatology was founded in 2001, as successor to the longstanding Scottish Rheumatology Club. For a full history of the SSR including a list of Past Presidents, please visit our history page.

The Society aims:
  1. To promote the development of scientific knowledge about Rheumatology
  2. To further the development of Rheumatology as a specialty in Scotland.

The constitution of the Scottish Society for Rheumatology is available here.

There are two educational meetings each year, held in spring and autumn. Scientific abstracts presented are published in the Scottish Medical Journal.

An elected council administers business affairs on behalf of society members.
